"Over a 3-day period, I grew in my attachment to the country-side battered women's shelter in Ensenada known as 'Casa de Esperanza'. I'm a person who often looks to get involved in "restoration projects" of all sorts. With Casa de Esperanza, our HSE 1 family served as Abba's hands, feet, and heart as we restored a field full of weeds and dry soil to a garden; restored a fence to its property line so that the shelter's lease could be renewed on the next day; restored love, hope, and pampering to the single moms and their sweet innocent, little ones. I experienced God's love and compassion flowing through me as I held a little baby, Angel, firmly against me. Wow, my heart is full of love for these people."
